This is fascinating work. I thought I had read something about magnetic fields caused by the movement of ions in the cell axons having effects on other nearby cells and their probability of firing. Very cool research.

I am wondering if this weak electrical field has something to do with seizure activity, at least how the seizure is triggered.

Very interesting experiment because I believe the brain works in multidimensions, so the magnetic fields in the experiment may possibly somehow be triggering the mind to transfer information into another dimension. I was talking to someone years about this subject and there was a specific name for the process of the mind transferring the information back and forth, but I do not recall what it was called. Anyone out there know the specific title becides mind transfer?

Thank you for the response. An interesting subject you recommended, but not quite the answer I was trying to find. I would ask the person who mentioned the term, but that person passed away a year ago.
The term the person used was more of a metaphysics word, something like; teleportation or teleport, where a copy of a person's mind, not body, is transmitted to another place where a person can see, hear and possibly interact with other environments, possibly far away, possibly in different dimensions.

Perhaps you are referring to 'astral projection' or 'remote viewing'? This has been claimed as a skill available to a select few who say that they can collect information in altered states that isn't accessible in normal waking consciousness.
