Pilot Charles Hobaugh, and mission specialists Tracy Caldwell and Rick Mastracchio are using the shuttle’s robotic arm and the Orbiter Boom Sensor System (OBSS) to take an extensive and detailed look at the orbiter’s thermal protection system. Mission specialists Dave Williams and Barbara Morgan join Mastracchio for the latter part of the survey.
The crew of the space shuttle Endeavour was awakened for its first full day in orbit at 8:37 a.m. EDT by the song “Where My Heart Will Take Me,” performed by Russell Watson. It was played for Mission Specialist Rick Mastracchio.
In preparation for Endeavour’s rendezvous and docking with the space station, crew members will install a centerline camera. It will help Commander Scott Kelly pilot the orbiter during its approach to the station docking port. Crew members also will check out rendezvous tools and extend the Orbiter Docking System ring. Endeavour is scheduled to dock at 1:53 p.m. Friday.

Endeavour Due at Station Tonight
Circling the globe aboard space shuttle Endeavour, the STS-123 crew members have completed their first full day in space. The astronauts inspected the orbiter’s heat shield and prepared for their arrival at the International Space Station tonight at 11:25 p.m. EDT.
ISS Crews Preparing for Today’s Spacewalk
The STS-118 and Expedition 15 crews continue preparations for today’s spacewalk to install the Starboard 5 (S5) truss onto the International Space Station. STS-118 Mission Specialists Rick Mastracchio and Dave Williams are slated to begin their orbital stroll at 12:31 p.m. EDT.
Endeavour Docks With International Space Station
The seven STS-118 crew members reached their destination today when Space Shuttle Endeavour docked with the International Space Station at 2:02 p.m. EDT. STS-118 will continue the on-orbit construction of the station with the addition of the Starboard 5 (S5) truss segment.
Progress Resupply Ship Docks With Station
The ISS Progress 26 (P26) arrived at the International Space Station docking to the Pirs docking compartment at 2:40 p.m. EDT Sunday.
Resupply Craft Heads for Station
The ISS Progress 26 (P26) craft launched Thursday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 1:34 p.m. EDT. The P26 vehicle is loaded with 5,111 pounds of food, fuel, air, water and supplies. P26 is scheduled to dock with the station on Aug. 5.
New Space Station Crew Launched from Baikonur
The International Space Station Expedition 11 crew -- Cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev and Astronaut John Phillips -- launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 8:46 pm EDT Thursday, right on schedule. Soyuz is scheduled to dock with the ISS at 10:19 pm EDT April 16.
Their Soyuz TMA capsule reached orbit a little less than nine minutes after liftoff. Russian flight controllers reported the spacecraft’s solar arrays had deployed as scheduled, and that all appeared normal.
