In Brief: Alltel launches mobile e-mail system

Apr 18 ,Technology

Alltel launched a system that will allow mobile users to access their e-mail through Palm OS and Windows Mobile devices.

Office Sync will initially be available on the Palm Treo 650 and the UTStarcom PPC-6700, a Windows Mobile pocket personal computer.

"Office Sync provides customers with the information they need to remain productive from anywhere on America's largest wireless network," said Wade McGill, senior vice president of wireless product management. "It's fast, easy to install and use, and empowers Alltel customers with another option for staying in touch while away from their home or office," he added.
