Teleglobe will be marketing Mobile Tornado's Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) to wireless operators worldwide.
Bermuda-based Teleglobe, which was this month acquired by India telecom VSNL, said Wednesday that PoC promised to become a hot value-added product for mobile companies in the near future, and teaming with Mobile Tornado would give the companies a stronger position in the budding market.
Mobile Tornado is a software provider for instant communications marketed under the "Push to Xperience" label.
"PoC as a hosted managed service will enable mobile operators to launch PoC services more rapidly, with lower investment, and at lower risk than the alternative of acquiring, integrating, and operating PoC internally," said VSNL International Executive Vice President Allan Chan.
