Zebra Technologies has unveiled a portable thermal printer that produces receipts and other paperwork for service personnel in the field.
The RW 220 features a rugged design that will withstand extreme weather conditions, including intense sunlight. It also features optional Bluetooth and security capabilities as well as a rechargeable battery.
"The Zebra printer and supplies combination offers a complete solution for field service and route accounting operations that require issuance of smaller receipts and on-demand documentation," the company said Tuesday.
The device is useful to service technicians and sale personnel operating in remote and inhospitable areas that need to produce receipts, order forms and on-demand documents.
The RW 220 is currently available in the United States and Canada and will be available in other markets worldwide in the coming months.
