Ericsson said Friday it will launch a mobile television network with Sunrise, a Swiss telecommunications provider.
By partnering with Ericsson, Sunrise will be offering viewers 24 live channels as well as featured sports and entertainment on the go. The service will be based on Ericsson's service delivery platform.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, but the three-year contract will be "based on a revenue and risk-sharing model," Ericsson said in a news release.
Sunrise has about 2.2 million subscribers in Switzerland.
